We want the time you spend with us to be a pleasant time whether you are visiting us with your child for early dental care or are here for implant or cosmetic dentistry for yourself.

Your smile is the first thing people see when they meet you so naturally you want your smile to look good. There is nothing more attractive than a white, sparkling smile! However, our teeth seldom stay as white as we'd like them to be without a bit of help. Fortunately, we have that help available here in our Spring Lake cosmetic dentistry office!

Economical, Fast and Safe

Safe, fast and very popular, teeth whitening can whiten and brighten your smile in just one office visit. Professional teeth whitening is one of the most economical cosmetic dentistry procedures that many people choose today as having a white and attractive is important. Depending upon the whitening method you choose, the results can be dramatic. For example, the in-office whitening we offer can lighten teeth three to eight shades in just one hour.

Whitening done professionally is far more successful and effective than doing it yourself using a whitening product you find on the shelf of your local drugstore.  When you see us for professional in-office whitening, we will provide you with an oral exam to make sure your stained or discolored teeth are not a result of a dental condition that requires treatment.

Our practice offers two ways to whiten your teeth. These are:

Teeth Whitening Options.

  • In Office Whitening – This method offers the quickest results using the most powerful whitening solutions available. When you come in for in-office whitening, we will protect your gums and tooth root surfaces using a protective barrier. Then we will apply a special hydrogen peroxide whitening gel to your tooth surfaces which will be left on for about one hour as you sit back and relax. When the gel is removed, you will notice the obvious results immediately.
  • At-Home Whitening – If you prefer whitening your teeth in the privacy of your home, it may take several weeks to achieve your desired level of whiteness. Using an impression of your teeth, two whitening trays will be made for you. You will be instructed to fill the trays with a whitening gel, place them in your mouth and bite down, leaving them in for about one hour per whitening session.

Teeth Whitening Before and After.

Naturally, you want your whitening results to last as long as possible. While some discoloration & staining of the teeth cannot be prevented, there are some things you can do to help maintain your newly whitened teeth such as:

  • Watch What You Eat – Try to avoid foods and drinks that stain teeth like red wine, blueberries, dark soda, coffee and tea.
  • Kick The Habit – Not only is tobacco use bad for your health, it also stains and discolors teeth so try to kick the habit once and for all.
  • Practice Good Oral Hygiene –  Be sure to brush and floss well every day to keep your teeth clean and your smile healthy.
  • See Your Dentist Regularly – You should visit your dentist regularly for checkups and professional cleanings. Having your teeth cleaned professionally twice a year will help avoid staining and discoloration.

Once you have had your teeth professionally whitened, you will need a minor touch-up done every so often. You can have this done either here at our Spring Lake dental office or you can do it at home with an at-home teeth whitening kit we give you.
